Your Group Can Make a Big Impact at the Farm!

An Ecosystem of Giving: Group Volunteering

Large groups help Martha’s Community Farm accomplish amazing things!

From planting whole fields of sweet potatoes to harvesting thousands of lbs of peppers, volunteering at the farm is a great way to get your group outdoors and connected to nature.

Your group can build connections, make meaningful change in the community, and have fun!

About Group Volunteering

  • Our mission to build community through access to healthy food makes a real impact on the lives of people and families experiencing food insecurity. Providing those in need with 1000s of lbs of farm fresh, healthy food is a big job for our staff of only 4 to accomplish! Your group can help us work through projects that would be impossible for our staff to accomplish on their own in just a few hours. We are always blown away by the amazing things our volunteer groups can do!

Martha’s Community Farm offers a unique opportunity to get your group out in nature and enjoy the outdoors. Everything at the Farm centers around connection and community which makes us a fantastic place to strengthen relationships within your group while supporting a fantastic mission!

  • Most group volunteer days begin with a tour of the farm where your group can learn about the why’s of the important work they will contribute to.

After the tour, the work begins! We usually won’t know the specifics of your project until a few days before your visit. Activities, though, depend on the season and may include any of the following: planting, plant tending, harvesting, weeding and sheet mulching, watering or greenhouse work!

After the work session we encourage groups to enjoy the farm! Bring a lunch and have a meal with your group at any of our beautiful indoor and outdoor picnic areas.

  • We work with a broad range of volunteer groups here at the farm! From college and high school students to corporate teams, we always are open to working with new groups!

Here are just a few of the many volunteer groups we work with at the farm:

    ● CHOP ● Villanova University ● SEI ● St. Teresa of Avalia ● Key Bank ● Top Golf ● Conestoga High School ● AmeriPrise ● Mount St. Joseph’s Academy ● Community Club of Collegeville ● Johnson & Johnson ● Victory Church

  • Martha’s Community Farm accepts volunteer groups year-round! We schedule volunteer groups on Tuesday - Saturday mornings typically from 9-12.
