Farm Tour Guide
The Farm Engagement Team is seeking enthusiastic volunteers who are excited to share their love of Martha’s Community Farm with prospective volunteers. As a Tour Guide, you’ll help introduce visitors to the mission, spaces, and sustainable practices that make the Farm special.
Role Details:
Tour Guides play a key role in welcoming new prospective volunteers, helping them understand the Farm’s impact, and inspiring them to get involved.
Time Commitment
Assist with prep for and lead 45‑minute tours
Thursdays at 11:00 AM or Saturdays at 1:00 PM
Role Features
Lead engaging, informative tours of the Farm for prospective volunteers.
Share the Farm’s mission, history, and commitment to sustainability.
Introduce visitors to key Farm areas and programs.
Represent the Farm with warmth, clarity, and enthusiasm.
Training
To ensure you feel confident and supported in the role, all new Tour Guides will:
Observe staff‑led tours as part of their initial training.
Meet with the Engagement Team for onboarding, expectations, and Q&A.
Receive extensive training from Farm staff before leading tours independently.
Ideal Volunteer
This role is a great fit for someone who; enjoys connecting with people, loves the Farm and wants to share that passion, is comfortable speaking to small groups, values sustainability and community engagement.

Media Creator
The Farm Engagement Team is looking for creative volunteers who love storytelling, social media, and amplifying community impact. Media Creators help us share the heart of the Farm; our volunteers, our mission, and the work happening every day through compelling digital content.
Role Details:
Media Creators support the Farm by developing content that grows awareness, strengthens community engagement, and inspires new supporters to get involved.
Time Commitment
Flexible weekly or monthly team contributions
Remote or on‑site opportunities available
Occasional in‑person visits to the Farm for content gathering
Role Features
Capture photos and videos of Farm activities, volunteers, and events
Create engaging social media content (Reels, posts, stories, short‑form videos)
Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas, trends, and storytelling angles
Assist with social media strategy, including planning and scheduling
Help maintain a consistent visual and narrative brand voice
Collaborate with the Engagement Team on campaigns and special projects
Bring the ideas, trends, and creative sparks that inspire and excite you! We want your unique voice and vision to help shape our content.
Training
Observe a staff‑led tour to understand the Farm’s story, spaces, and values
Meet with the Engagement Team for onboarding, expectations, and content guidelines
Be supported with access to story ideas, content calendars, and ongoing feedback
Ideal Volunteer
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys being creative, loves experimenting with new ideas and trends, is excited about storytelling, and brings a willingness to learn, grow, and tweak their work. No prior experience necessary.
