This year, we are asking for one gift: Wheelbarrows.

Why wheelbarrows?

Believe it or not, the wheelbarrow is the most versatile tool on the Farm!

They’re used for everything from moving harvests to collecting compost, and spreading mulch throughout the whole season!

How many wheelbarrows does the Farm need?

This year, our wish is for 20 new wheelbarrows for the Farm!

Why so many?

Each year we welcome 2,000 to 3,000 volunteers to the Farm and we do not have enough for everyone! From school groups up to 175 students at a time, to the daily work our individual volunteers help us accomplish, more wheelbarrows will help us grow more food for families in need!

What kind of wheelbarrow?

We are looking for wheelbarrows with 2 wheels, flat free tires, and a 7-cubic feet capacity.

After years of wheelbarrowing here, we have found that these specifications make the best wheelbarrow for Farm-use. 2 wheels provides extra stability for carrying heavy loads like woodchips and watermelon. Flat-free tires mean the wheelbarrows are never out of commission when we need them. And finally, a 7-cubic feet capacity means we can get work done in fewer trips!

Where to purchase these wheelbarrows?

Thank you for being willing to give the Farm a gift this year!

This year we wanted to give our community the option to purchase online and ship to the Farm, or purchase in-person and drop off at the Farm! If you would like to make your gift online, wheelbarrows can be purchased at the links below. If you would like to purchase one in-person at the store, please use the item codes listed at the links to help a staff member at the store find the correct wheelbarrow for you!

Delivery and Drop Off Instructions

If you are ordering online for delivery, the Farm’s shipping address is:

2820 Audubon Village DR

Audubon, PA 19403

Please make sure to include our box number in the second address line!

If you are purchasing in person and would like to drop your gift off at the Farm, you can do that between normal volunteer hours 9am-12pm Tuesday-Friday.

Please email engage@marthascommunityfarm.org with any questions!

How can you help if a wheelbarrow isn’t in the budget this year?

If you are able, consider sponsoring ½ or ¼ of a wheelbarrow through a digital gift card from Lowes or Home Depot!

Gift cards can be emailed to mcf@archphila.org

We know this year has been tough financially for everyone.
